FAQ and Terms – Ask Our Paving Experts

How Do Your Deliveries Work?

Most of our deliveries will be made by a tail-lift lorry to put the pallet as near as possible to where you need it using a nationwide pallet company. The ground and road need to be flat, level and solid to use this system. If you have any doubts please contact us for further details. Broken concrete, gravel or sloping ground is unsuitable and pallets may only be left on the kerbside at the driver’s discretion if he deems it safe to do so. We can also provide forklift unload or haib crane Lorries for large orders and if it is a local delivery we use our own crane lift lorry.

What Level of Quality and Precision are Your Paving Stones?

All our products are 100% natural and either hand cut or machine sawn, please take into consideration that we try to  source and import the highest quality cut slabs to the exact measurements as described and as a result a majority of our slabs are exactly the size described although occasionally slabs maybe plus or minus 1 cm in length or width so please allow for tolerances when laying the stone.

We also describe our slabs as cut between 25mm and 35mm unless stated as 22mm calibrated, with our stock levels in excess of 10,000 sqm please also take into consideration that although we import this thickness of slab specifically for the thickness  occasionally slabs cut slightly thinner may appear within a crate. With stock levels so high it would be impossible for us to check the thickness of every slab. This should only affect around 5% of our stock but please allow between plus and minus 5mm in thickness on this 5%.

Please also be aware that no two slabs are exactly the same and that as they have been formed over millions of years colour variations will be present, as said above our slabs are 100% natural so shadings and the odd different colour patch may occur. Please understand that the above pictures and samples sent are only a small representation of the item so colours and shades may differ occasionally. Also due to our stone being completely natural the surface may vary from a naturally smooth appearance to a more riven appearance. The percentage of naturally smooth and riven surfaces of the slabs will differ between ranges.

How do you Ensure my Delivery is Secured?

As you can imagine there are some very long distances involved in delivering across the whole UK and despite our best efforts to safely package and transport our slabs unfortunately 1 or 2 slabs are occasionally broken within the transport process for which we apologise. We do however try our up most to ensure NO broken slabs leave our yard and we personally check each crate before they are loaded on to the delivery lorry making sure we remove any damaged slabs before they are loaded, having said that sometimes unforeseen breakages sometime occur within crates that cannot be detected with just an external check. Without actually unpacking and re packing every crate we send, sometimes broken slabs slip through for which we again apologise. Please do not be alarmed if you do have a few broken on arrival as these always come in handy for the cuts that your patio design may require.

If you still have concerns about any of the above we strongly advise to always order a minimum 5% extra to cover such breakages or onsite cuts and damages. It is always better to order slightly more than to run short. Sending a small amount of additional slabs without suffering breakages is near on impossible for us.

If unfortunately you receive more than few broken slabs per pallet please report any damages to us within 24 hours of receipt via our above email address. Provide digital photographic evidence of the damage within the unopened box or still in the box during the unpacking process for insurance purposes.

Signing of the delivery note as ‘unchecked’ (or similar wording) does not waive your right of notification to us for damage. Signing the delivery note as ‘unchecked’ (or similar wording), will be deemed to have been accepted as undamaged. We cannot accept claims for damaged goods if the courier has obtained a clean signature or if more than 24 hrs since delivery has past

It is your responsibility to ensure that your goods are checked before signing the delivery note. If you have received a pallet or box that is damaged and have actually signed for the delivery without stating the damages then the delivery company or ourselves will not be held responsible for the breakages.

What If I Have a Problem With my Order?

If you are not completely satisfied with your choice of purchase we would have no problem exchanging items. Items you wish to exchange must be returned to us at the cost of the buyer and replacement sent will also be at buyers cost.

We also have no problem offering full refunds on full un opened boxes only however a small re stocking fee of 15% will apply

Thanks for taking the time to read our FAQs, terms and conditions.
